Antonean
Diaz

Antonean Diaz is a multidisciplinary artist of Belizean and Persian heritage working across painting, sculpture and performance.

Born in 2001 in the United States and raised in Iran, she now lives and works in Paris, FR, where she completed a foundation year at Atelier de Sevres and is currently pursuing her studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

Her work blends classical painting techniques with contemporary and surrealist sensibilities. Through dreamlike and symbolic imagery, she explores personal history, cultural duality, and psychological states.

Her sculpture and performance pieces carry these themes into physical space, touching on myth, migration, identity.

Marked by contrasts such as beauty and violence, order and chaos, Antonean’s work aims to provoke emotional tension and reflection, often leaving viewers in a subtle state of unease that encourages deeper thought.
